LEGISLATIVE BLACK CAUCUS PRESENTS “STATE OF BLACK CALIFORNIA”

SACRAMENTO (CA) - California Urban Partnership had the honor of attending the California Legislative Black Caucus’ (CLBC) event, “The State of Black California.”  This exciting CLBC event began with a dynamic presentation about the importance of childhood trauma screening from the Surgeon General of California, Dr. Nadine Burke Harris.  Refusing to accept institutional racism as a reason for defeat, the day continued as participants were treated to other stimulating presentations from respected professionals in healthcare, voting, tech diversity, education and public safety.  There is a lot of work to be thankful for, but there is still so much more to do.  Thank you to the CLBC for advocating for the interests of Black Californians!
