URBAN PARTNERSHIP'S POLICY FORUM BREAKFAST WILL FOCUS ON "THE STATE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CAPITAL"
In the midst of current national conversations on race and injustice, the California Urban Partnership is hosting an exciting Policy Forum Breakfast focused on Access To Capital. This event will inform our agenda for small business development and homeownership strategies that free low income Californians from being trapped in poverty. More specifically, the forum will explore economic development tools now available in California, and answer the following questions: How and to whom do the dollars flow, and are they making capital accessible and adequate for the business development and affordable housing needs of low income and communities of color? Entitled, The State of Community Development Capital, the Policy Forum Breakfast will occur on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Citizen Hotel, 926 "J" Street, in downtown Sacramento, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Urban Partnership's Policy Forum Breakfast is a laboratory for critical community economic development discussions, ideas, collaboration and solutions. The Forum takes a look at current policy challenges and opportunities and results in the momentum of community transformation strategies. We anticipate the presence of over 200 prominent community, business and academic leaders, along with government representatives and elected dignitaries at the local, state and national levels.
