STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPSAt the California Urban Partnership (CUP), we know that community-based organizations (CBO) play an influential role in growing regional economies by revitalizing neighborhoods.
Building the capacity of CBOs is important to creating a favorable environment for success. Without capable CBO involvement in synergizing capital, government regulation, infrastructure, the workforce and civic engagement, industrial stakeholders face a high risk of marginal outcomes, poor returns on investment and lost opportunity. The CUP helps CBOs join forces to increase their effectiveness in tackling difficult urban challenges, as well as add value to California’s overall economy. Whether it’s on a local or state-level, or for individual or multiple entities, we provide a wide range of customized technical assistance and training to our CBO clients. CUP services include: community development planning, drafting and negotiating collaboration agreements, designing shared information and learning systems, and coordinating the effective execution of funded partnership proposals. Our workshops, conferences and forums also offer training, dialogue and networking opportunities in areas such as: best practices resources; staff capacity and skill building; organizational development and expansion; conflict resolution; community engagement, and public policy. Consistent with our Strategic Goals, the CUP’s partnership formation work mobilizes corporate, government and philanthropic support. We are deeply committed to bringing organizations, people, information, programs and resources together to build transformational community initiatives. |
